A new systematic review has shed light on the advantages of alveolar ridge preservation using bone xenografts and absorbable sealing materials in the esthetic zone. The review, which analyzed 13 articles from 10 randomized clinical trials involving 357 participants, found that this approach significantly reduces bone resorption compared to spontaneous healing. The Findings revealed that alveolar ridge preservation showed less horizontal (MD = 1.88 mm), vertical mid‐buccal (MD = 1.84 mm), and vertical mid‐lingual (MD = 2.27 mm) bone resorption clinically. Radiographically, similar reductions were observed in horizontal. Soft-tissue compensation in the spontaneous healing group partially offsets bone resorption differences.
