A study conducted on 94 individuals with Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) explored the effectiveness of Esketamine, an intranasal antidepressant, in a real-world setting. Patients underwent an acute phase (4–8 weeks) followed by a maintenance phase (6–12 months). Results showed consistent improvement in depressive symptoms across both phases, with 60% completing maintenance. Notably, patients with comorbid personality disorders also experienced significant improvement, endorsing Esketamine's viability for TRD treatment, even in complex cases. This research underscores Esketamine's potential, bridging the gap between clinical trials and real-world effectiveness.
