Efficacy of Intermittent Blue Light Therapy for Neonatal Jaundice

A meta-analysis of 16 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessed the efficacy of various blue light therapy methods for neonatal jaundice. The results showed that intermittent blue light therapy was superior to continuous therapy, achieving a higher total effective rate, lower serum bilirubin levels, faster jaundice resolution, and fewer adverse reactions. Sensitivity analysis confirmed the stability and reliability of these findings. Intermittent blue light therapy is recommended as an effective treatment option for neonatal jaundice.
