Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (uUTIs) are common among women, with symptoms like dysuria, urgency, and lower abdominal pain. Few studies exist on the emotional toll of uUTIs. Conducted interviews with women in China and Japan who experienced uUTIs to explore this aspect. Results showed uUTI symptoms significantly affected their lives, causing embarrassment, frustration, and impacting relationships and work. Participants sought healthcare from various sources. The study underscores the emotional burden of uUTIs and the importance of healthcare support and education.
