Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a debilitating disease leading to premature death, and end-of-life care is crucial, particularly for younger patients. Palliative care specialists play a vital role in managing symptoms and reducing the psychosocial burden for patients nearing the end of life. However, palliative care remains underutilized in PAH cases, highlighting significant challenges in addressing end-of-life care. This review explores the opportunities and barriers in managing high symptom burden and end-of-life care in PAH patients.
