Based on 143 cone-beam computed tomography scans of endodontically treated molars over 8 years, the study aimed to assess links between various endodontic factors and periapical lesions (PLs). Noteworthy predictors of PLs included overfillings, perforations, missed canals, and underfillings. Missed canals significantly increased PL volume, while missed canals, perforations, and separated instruments were linked to reduced buccal plate bone height. The findings underscore the importance of precision in endodontic procedures to minimize errors and enhance treatment outcomes.
