Endometrial Defects Drive Abnormal Uterine Bleeding in CSD

A retrospective case–control study of 155 patients examined the role of caesarean scar defects (CSD) in abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). After propensity score matching, endometrial defects—such as in situ hemorrhage, bloody mucus, epithelial deficiency, and vascular abnormalities—were significantly associated with AUB. Pathological analysis confirmed differences in endometrial thickness, local vascularization, and plasma cell count.
