Ensifentrine, a novel dual phosphodiesterase (PDE)3 and PDE4 inhibitor with bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effects, was evaluated in replicate phase III trials for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The trials demonstrated improved lung function, symptom relief, and quality of life, along with reduced exacerbation rates compared to placebo, supporting its potential as an additional therapy for COPD patients.
