The study assessed the DermSat-7 questionnaire's validity in measuring treatment satisfaction among acne patients. Including 142 English-speaking adults treated at a hospital, the DermSat-7 demonstrated structural validity through factor analysis and exhibited good internal consistency in effectiveness and convenience domains. Known-groups validity was supported, showing higher DermSat-7 scores with positive changes in disease severity. Construct validity was confirmed through moderate correlations with anchor items, patient global assessment, and dermatologist-rated severity. The study suggests that DermSat-7 is effective, especially in measuring effectiveness and overall satisfaction in acne treatment.
