Faricimab Improves Outcomes in nAMD

The study found that intravitreal faricimab improved visual acuity (VA) and anatomical outcomes in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). Previously treated eyes showed modest VA gains (+1.57 letters, p=0.051) and significant CST reductions (−25.51 µm, p<0.001) after three injections. Treatment-naïve eyes had notable improvements in VA (+12.50 letters, p=0.185) and CST (−82.60 µm). Refractory eyes switching from aflibercept achieved significant VA gains (+2.15 letters, p=0.029) and CST reductions (−27.46 µm, p<0.001). Adverse events were minimal.
