A study of 30 youth with type 1 diabetes compared faster-acting insulin aspart (FIA) to standard insulin aspart (SIA) using automated insulin delivery. FIA improved postprandial outcomes, reducing glucose excursions (−3.8 mg/dL, p < 0.001) and increasing time in range by 1.9% (p = 0.02). Benefits were most evident at breakfast, high-carb meals, and with lower insulin-to-carb ratios. FIA may aid glycaemic control in youth struggling to meet targets.
