This study explores the connections between fear of childbirth, psychological distress, resilience, and sleep quality in Chinese pregnant women. A cross-sectional survey conducted at a Guangzhou hospital revealed a non-linear, negative relationship between fear of childbirth and sleep quality during different trimesters. Psychological distress mediated this association, while resilience played a moderating role in influencing sleep quality and psychological distress.
