This study assessed the feasibility of measuring fetal cardiac biometry between 11 and 14 weeks in low-risk singleton pregnancies in 129 South Indian mothers. The success rate for measurements was 33% at 11 weeks, 72% at 12 weeks, and 77% at 13 weeks. Excluding aortic isthmus diameter improved success rates to 50% at 11 weeks and 80% at 12 and 13 weeks. These measurements could aid early detection of congenital heart defects.
