A retrospective study compared endometrial cancer staging using the FIGO 2009 and revised FIGO 2023 systems in LMICs. Of 152 patients, aggressive histology was present in 45%, and 11% showed subserosal involvement. Notably, 15% experienced a stage shift, with 15% requiring more radical treatment due to possible risk stratification changes. Molecular classification feasibility in LMICs remains challenging, with only 2 patients affording POLE testing. Despite this, FIGO 2023 staging showed significant prognostic differences, indicating its potential as a robust prognosticator, albeit with challenges in the practical implementation of molecular classification in LMICs.
