
GLP-1 receptor agonists were associated with a 49% reduction in death-censored graft loss and a 31% reduction in mortality among kidney transplant recipients with diabetes. These findings suggest significant benefits for graft and patient survival, with rare safety concerns, especially related to diabetic retinopathy. Further clinical trials are needed to confirm these results.
