Habitual snoring elevates the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD), myocardial infarction (MI), and stable angina pectoris (SAP), independent of body mass index (BMI). A study of 497,250 adults from the Biobank found that habitual snoring was linked to CAD outcomes with hazard ratios of 1.06 for CAD and MI and 1.14 for SAP. Mendelian randomization analysis confirmed causal associations, suggesting snoring intervention may reduce CAD risk among East Asians.
