
A study compared half-dose photodynamic therapy (HD-PDT) and 577 nm subthreshold pulse laser therapy (SPL) for treating central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) in treatment-naïve patients. Out of 95 patients, both treatments showed similar results in resolving subretinal fluid, with 44.9% of HD-PDT and 43.5% of SPL patients receiving a second treatment. Outcomes indicated no significant difference in complete resolution or visual improvement between the two groups, suggesting that 577 nm SPL could be an effective alternative to HD-PDT in treating CSC.
