Hemodialysis Survival Improvements Linked to Facility Practice Changes

The study analyzes the impact of facility practice changes on hemodialysis patient survival from 1999 to 2015 in the US, Japan, and Europe. Improvements in case-mix adjusted survival were observed, largely attributed to enhanced facility practices such as Kt/V, phosphorus control, and AV fistula use. These practices explained many survival improvements, highlighting their crucial role in patient outcomes.
