Hemodynamic Effects of IV Paracetamol in ICU Patients

A retrospective ICU study on 498 patients revealed that IV paracetamol administration significantly lowered blood pressure, with peak effects seen 45–60 minutes post-infusion. Increased noradrenaline use and reduced urine output indicated compromised end-organ perfusion. While IV paracetamol remains vital for pain and fever control, careful monitoring is essential to ensure hemodynamic stability in critically ill patients.
