HF-QRS Analysis Enhances Coronary Artery Disease Detection During Exercise Stress Testing

High-frequency QRS (HF-QRS) analysis, integrated with conventional ST-segment analysis during exercise stress testing, demonstrated superior sensitivity in detecting coronary artery disease (CAD) compared to ST-segment analysis alone. A study involving 157 patients undergoing angiography found HF-QRS analysis to be more sensitive (63% vs. 37%). Combining HF-QRS and ST-segment analysis sequentially increased specificity to 97%, while parallel testing raised sensitivity to 77%. The quantity of leads showing positive HF-QRS responses correlated with CAD severity. These findings suggest HF-QRS analysis enhances CAD detection accuracy, especially when combined with ST-segment analysis during exercise stress testing.
