A study in India revealed that the age at which girls receive the HPV vaccine, whether 10-14 or 15-18 years, has little impact on the durability of the immune response. Contrary to earlier findings, the study demonstrated no significant difference in immune responses between age groups for single-dose recipients. Notably, the vaccine provided high protection, with only one case of persistent HPV 16 detected in the single-dose cohort. The World Health Organization recommends one or two doses for girls and women of different age groups.
