Higher CRS Risk with Cadaveric vs. Living Kidney Transplants

The study found cadaveric organ transplant recipients have a higher incidence of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and recalcitrant CRS compared to living donor recipients. Cadaveric kidney transplants were linked to a 1.32-fold increased risk of CRS and 1.68-fold for recalcitrant CRS. Living donor transplants reduced CRS risk significantly, with a longer median time to CRS onset observed in living donor recipients.
