A quasi-experimental study in Bhubaneswar evaluated a combined HAPA and Motivational Interviewing (MI)-based intervention in 45 informal settlement residents. After personalized education and oral kit distribution, all behavioral scores improved significantly—OE (↑ to 4.15), SE (↑ to 3.81), PI (↓ to 0.9), and OHI-S (↓ to 1.5). Results show significant improvement in oral hygiene and behaviors, demonstrating the model's promise for broader public health impact.
