A study found that among 13,680 men diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer, 21.8% didn't receive the standard of care treatment - androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). The study revealed that the highest ADT rates were among men aged 75-84 (81.6%), with the lowest rates in those over 85 (76.0%). Interestingly, Asian men had the highest proportion receiving ADT at 81.5%. However, neighbourhood residents of lower socioeconomic status were less likely to receive ADT. These findings emphasize the need to address disparities in prostate cancer care.

As a single-arm study, the findings are descriptive and require controlled confirmation.
