The study assessed the hemostatic efficacy, complications, and pregnancy outcomes of the Hot-Dog method, combining vertical compression sutures and intrauterine balloon tamponade, in women with placenta previa undergoing cesarean section. Among 117 women, the Hot-Dog method resulted in significantly lower postoperative blood loss and fewer additional procedures for hemorrhage compared to conventional methods and balloon tamponade alone. Despite higher intraoperative blood loss, the Hot-Dog technique proved effective and safe, with preserved fertility and successful term pregnancies.
