A study evaluated using a hybrid filler (hyaluronic acid and dextranomer) for contouring the chin, jaw, and malar regions. Nineteen patients received an average of 2.4 ± 0.9 mL of filler. The results showed significant improvements in natural appearance, volume enhancement, and durability, with patients rating aesthetic improvement as “very much improved” or “much improved.” Both patient satisfaction (89.5%) and physician evaluations via the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) were highly positive. Only mild, expected adverse events like pain and swelling were reported. The hybrid filler demonstrated efficacy and safety, with minimal adverse effects and a high rate of patient satisfaction.
