A randomized trial investigates moderate hypotension's feasibility during endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). Both levels of hypotension, achieved by reducing mean arterial pressure, yielded acceptable surgical conditions without significant differences in the quality of the operative field. However, postoperative arterial lactate levels and sedation scores varied between groups. The study suggests that combining hypotension, patient positioning, and low-concentration adrenaline can optimize surgical conditions in ESS.
