A study was conducted to evaluate the response of patients with cranial nerve involvement (CNI) in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) to immunotherapy (IO). Twelve patients with cSCC of the head and neck region were included in the study and treated with cemiplimab or pembrolizumab. Of these, eight patients had CNI at the time of diagnosis, while four developed CNI after non-IO therapy. The results showed that 83% of the patients responded to IO, with one complete response, seven partial responses, one stable disease, two progressive diseases, and one response pending. Nine patients were still alive, and six of them continued IO treatment. The findings suggest that IO can be an effective monotherapy, with radiation therapy reserved for local failure after IO treatment.
