Impact of 2 years of COVID‐19 pandemic on ovarian cancer treatment in IRCCS‐AUSL of Reggio Emilia

This study evaluated compliance with a regional recommendation to centralize epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) patients and determined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on EOC patient care. Data from EOC patients before and during the pandemic were compared using Optimal Ovarian Cancer Pathway records. Results showed increased centralized EOC patients from 2% to 49% during the pandemic. The use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and interval debulking surgery increased, and there was an improvement in the outcome of Stage III patients. The multidisciplinary tumor board played a crucial role in maintaining the quality of care despite the pandemic.
