The retrospective cohort study investigated the impact of prehypertension (Pre-HTN) in males on semen quality and ART outcomes in 1,043 couples undergoing their first FET cycle. The Pre-HTN group exhibited lower total sperm motility, count, and progressive motility, alongside a higher prevalence of oligozoospermia and asthenozoospermia. ART outcomes were also poorer, with reduced clinical pregnancy and live birth rates. Pre-HTN in males was identified as an independent risk factor for decreased ART success.
