Impact of Postoperative Physical Therapy Duration on GM Repair Outcomes

The study examined the effect of postoperative physical therapy (PT) on recovery after gluteus medius/minimus (GM) repair. It finds that patients experience the most significant improvements during the first 21 PT sessions and the first 81 days post-surgery. PT duration of 3–6 months is associated with superior 2-year functional outcomes, including better Hip Outcome Scores and pain reduction, compared to shorter PT durations.
