This study analyzed isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) outcomes from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Database, focusing on preoperative clopidogrel use within five days. It found minimal differences in operative mortality but higher rates of mediastinal re-exploration and blood product use among those who took clopidogrel. Risks decreased with increasing time since the last dose, with similar outcomes for surgeries at 3 and 5 days.
