Impact of sleep dysfunction on psychological burden in patients with empty nose syndrome

Empty nose syndrome (ENS) is a paradoxical nasal obstruction that occurs after turbinate surgery. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of sleep dysfunction on the psychological burden in patients with ENS by simultaneously measuring sleep quality and psychological symptoms using validated questionnaire instruments. There is a close association between sleep dysfunction evaluation and ENS patients' psychological symptoms. Therefore, recognising individuals with significant sleep impairment and providing appropriate management to improve sleep quality and diminish their psychological burden are crucial issues for ENS patients.
