The study aimed to assess the impact of topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) bromfenac on intraretinal cystic lesions (IRC) during combined cataract and idiopathic epiretinal membrane (iERM) surgery. Patients with iERM undergoing vitrectomy and cataract surgery were treated with or without bromfenac and monitored for six months. Fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography were used to evaluate microvascular leakage (ML) and structural changes. Results showed no significant difference in IRC prevention or treatment with bromfenac, irrespective of ML presence. Bromfenac did not alter visual acuity or IRC changes.
