Impact of Uterine Fibroids on Late Miscarriage: A Retrospective Multicenter Cohort Study

This retrospective multicenter study assessed the correlation between uterine fibroids and late miscarriage in 31,355 singleton pregnancies. Analysis revealed that the presence of multiple fibroids and submucosal fibroids significantly increased the odds of late miscarriage. While single fibroids did not show a statistically significant impact in most analyses, submucosal fibroids were associated with a 4.7-fold increase in odds. Logistic regression and IPTW analyses confirmed higher risks for pregnancies with multiple fibroids, with an adjusted odds ratio (aOR) of up to 5.7. These findings emphasize the clinical importance of fibroid characteristics in predicting pregnancy outcomes.
