This cross-sectional study aimed to compare various aspects of physical health between patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3–4 and a control group. The study included 43 CKD patients and 45 controls. The patients exhibited significantly lower functional exercise capacity (6-Minute Walking Test), respiratory and peripheral muscle strength, pulmonary function, physical activity, and balance (Berg et al.) compared to controls. Additionally, CKD patients reported higher levels of dyspnea and kinesiophobia, along with reduced physical activity levels. The findings suggest that CKD patients in stages 3–4 experience impairments in various aspects of physical health and may benefit from cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs.
