Indications for sentinel lymph node biopsy in node‐negative oral cancers

A study explores the use of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) for cervical treatment in oral cancer with negative lymph nodes. The study analyzes patients from 2009 to 2016, using primary site depth and diameter for SLN metastasis outcome. Three groups (T1, T2, T3) based on values show varying metastasis proportions (21.3%, 35.3%, 51.2%). In T1 cases with specific criteria, metastasis positivity was 40.9%. Findings suggest SLNB-guided neck dissection as an effective N0 neck control method for oral cancer treatment.
