A recent study examined the effects of 2% pilocarpine eyedrops on ocular biometric parameters and intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation in primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) patients. The research included 22 PACG patients and 15 normal subjects. Results showed that pilocarpine eyedrops led to a slight but statistically significant increase in axial length (AL) and lens thickness (LT), as well as a decrease in anterior chamber depth (ACD) and lens position (LP). However, no significant changes were observed in mean keratometry (Km) or white-to-white distance (WTW). Furthermore, IOL power calculation remained unaffected by these parameter changes.
