A recent study conducted between September 2019 and November 2022 aimed to analyze PLSVC cases diagnosed via prenatal ultrasonography comprehensively. Among 97 patients, 50.5% exhibited isolated PLSVC, while 49.5% showed additional structural anomalies. Statistically significant disparities between these groups were found in pregnancy outcomes and amniocentesis results. Notably, ventricular septal defects and single umbilical arteries were the most common intracardiac and extracardiac abnormalities, respectively. Subgroup analysis highlighted that combined intra- and extracardiac abnormalities escalated adverse pregnancy risks. Abnormal cytogenetic findings, notably 21-trisomy and chromosome segment duplications, were exclusively found in cases with concurrent structural abnormalities.
