
In this qualitative study, 12 participants described their experiences with intensive prolonged exposure (iPE) therapy for PTSD. Despite the short-term emotional toll, many reported significant therapeutic gains beyond symptom relief. Five subthemes emerged, highlighting commitment, peer support, and personal growth. These insights emphasize the value of iPE and suggest ways to improve patient engagement and treatment outcomes.
