Intermittent Meropenem Therapy As Effective As Continuous Therapy In Sepsis Patients

According to a study, continuous meropenem administration did not improve the combined outcome of death and the development of resistant bacteria compared to intermittent delivery in critically ill sepsis patients. This trial involving 607 patients showed that both the continuous and intermittent administration groups had a 42% mortality rate at 90 days. No significant differences were observed in secondary or adverse events.
