
With an incidence of 2,09 million new cases in 2018, lung cancer remains the most common cancer worldwide, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 85% of the cases. Despite advancements in personalized treatment and precision medicine, the overall five-year survival rate of patients with advanced NSCLC in Germany remains low at 15-21%.
