A meta-analysis of 16 RCTs involving 1,738 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures found no significant difference between kyphoplasty (KP) and vertebroplasty (VP) in pain reduction or spinal function. However, KP showed superior outcomes in vertebral compression rate, Cobb angle, and lower cement leakage rates, suggesting its advantage in improving spinal stability.
