This study investigated the long-term effects of orthokeratology (ortho-k) on choroidal thickness and choroidal contour in myopic children. The research involved an analysis of 80 children aged 8–12 years over a 2-year randomized clinical trial, with 40 assigned to the control group and 40 to the ortho-k group. Optical coherence tomography images were collected at various intervals. The results indicated that ortho-k improved choroidal thickness and maintained choroidal contour over the 2-year period. However, the long-term effects diminished, emphasizing the need for further studies with larger sample sizes and extended follow-up.
