Examining records from 2012 to 2022 in a Chinese hospital, 46 patients underwent enterostomy, with 35 subsequently receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). After ten years, 25 patients survived post-HSCT, and 19 underwent stoma closure. Age at enterostomy and HSCT were identified as significant factors for delayed stoma closure. The study emphasized the importance of appropriate timing for enterostomy and HSCT to enhance the long-term quality of life for VEOIBD patients with IL10R signaling deficiency.
