
A study was conducted using Superb Micro‐Vascular Imaging® (SMI) to monitor spiral artery (SA) and uterine artery (UtA) vascular changes in normal pregnancies. Results showed a decrease in the UtA pulsatility index (PI) and an increase in the number of SA visualizations throughout pregnancy. SA-PI decreased in the second trimester, reaching a steady level until the end. SA-peak systolic velocity (PSV) declined gradually. There was a significant correlation between SA PI and UtA PI. The study established reference ranges for SA PSV and PI at different gestational ages, enhancing the understanding blood flow dynamics during pregnancy.
