This study compared glaucoma outcomes following high-dose versus low-dose glucocorticoid treatment after pediatric cataract surgery. Data from 267 children (388 eyes) were analyzed. The high-dose group had a median follow-up of 89 months, and the low-dose group had 40.5 months. Children with axial lengths ≥18 mm receiving low-dose treatment had a lower glaucoma risk. No such effect was observed for shorter eyes. Findings suggest limiting high-dose glucocorticoid use after cataract surgery in children.
