Elderly patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) in Dali, China, face increased stroke risks, but anticoagulant therapy is underused. This study examined 155 NVAF patients aged ≥60 from July 2020 to December 2021. Initial awareness of AF was 47.74%, with only 21.94% receiving anticoagulants. Post-discharge, anticoagulant use rose to 70.97%, mainly via new oral anticoagulants. Thromboembolic history and persistent AF predicted post-discharge anticoagulant use. Males, prior bleeding, and antiplatelet use predicted non-anticoagulant therapy. Over a one-year follow-up, mortality was 23.31%, strokes occurred in 3.01%, bleeding in 3.01%, and anticoagulant use dropped to 51.96%. Improved strategies are needed for NVAF management among elderly patients in Dali.

Educational and communication-based screen time were associated with lower odds of delays in selected developmental domains. The findings highlight the importance of limiting recreational screen exposure and encouraging age-appropriate, interactive digital activities.
