
Mepolizumab significantly reduced oral corticosteroid (OCS) use in eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) patients over the long term. In the open-label extension (OLE) of the Phase III MIRRA trial, 100 patients were treated for a median of 27 months. Median OCS dose dropped from 10 mg/day to 5 mg/day. 98% experienced adverse events, with 6% treatment-related. 28% discontinued OCS completely.
