This meta-analysis of seven studies involving 715 patients assessed the safety and efficacy of belzutifan, a HIF-2α inhibitor, in treating metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma (mccRCC). The pooled objective response rate (ORR) was 34%, with a disease control rate (DCR) of 79%. Median duration of response (mDOR) was 21.8 months, and progression-free survival (mPFS) was 8.8 months. Anemia was the most common adverse event, and combining belzutifan with TKIs increased ORR but also toxicity.
